Ok place to live - 10/27/2010

Romeoville, nice small town feel. Very family oriented, great atmosphere to raise a family. It’s with an arms reach of more bustling towns such as Aurora, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Wheaton, and Joliet. So there is no shortage of stuff to do that just a quick drive in either direction. Romeoville itself is growing and reinventing itself evident by all the new stores popping up and economic development going on. The Village is planning trains and bus transportation stations that will allow for greater access to Chicao and surrounding burbs. Great access to I-55. I just moved her about 7 months ago.[read more...]

The Best of All Worlds - 5/18/2010

Romeoville is a short drive to the big city of Chicago with all it has to offer from shopping to museums and theater. Yet there is space for planting a yard and kids to play in quiet neighborhoods. Real Estate is more reasonable than many other areas.[read more...]

Boy can it get cold! - 12/25/2008

In the summer its very nice and all but when it becomes winter BE PREPARRED TO CREEP DOWN THE STREET IN YOUR CAR! Its horrible, and then they barely clan the street. The streets end up covered in ice and slush. Their have been people spinning out, fish tailing, and a few accidents. But if you drive extra careful then this could be the place for you. lol![read more...]

Moving on up! - 10/23/2008

I'm quite comfortable living in Romeoville. I think that's very important, to be comfortable in the town you live. The town is really growing, there are many new stores, such as; Kohls, Target and Wal-Mart and great new restaurants. I can do all my shopping in my own town! I love my house, neighborhood and town.[read more...]

Romeoville - 2/21/2007

We moved to Romeoville in November of 2000 and live in the Wesglen community off Taylor and Weber roads. We have great neighbors and like the area overall. However, traffic on Weber road to I-55 is frequently congested. We do not have a lot of shopping or restaurant options in Romeoville. We have to drive to Bolingbrook, Naperville or Aurora (route 59). We are looking forward to the retail stores that will soon be opening in the area and more restaurants though we are not looking forward to even heavier traffic on Weber road. Now if we could just get a great pizzeria in area! [read more...]

Not much to offer. - 1/6/2007

We've lived in Romeoville for the last 5 years and now we can't wait to get out of here. We live on the west side of the town, where there are mostly new subdivisions. While it is quiet and peaceful here and the house prices are more affordable, the place doesn't have much more to offer. There's very few nice parks around here, the same goes for department stores. To get any shopping done we have to drive a few miles in either direction to neighboring cities. Also, if you have to drive north and use the Weber Rd./Interstate 55 intersection during rush hour (most of people here do) - brace yourself, it's a nightmare. And the last thing we are not happy about is that a lot of people around here do not take good care of their lawns and outside of their homes in general, which makes the place look shabby and unplesant. We doubt any of it will get any better so we are getting out of here. Seems like a lot of people share our opinion, because there's always so many houses for sale anywhere you look. [read more...]
