Living in the area - 2/9/2012
We moved to Granger from South Bend 12 yrs ago & have no children. It's perfect for families w/children~the best school system in the area & low taxes. Granger is the "affluent" suburb of South Bend & located in the county. There is no police dept (county sheriff covers the area), no city hall, no mayor. A rural suburb w/limited businesses & shopping happens in nearby Mishawaka. The 80/90 toll road gets you to Chicago in no time! Great location between Chicago, Detroit, Indy, & Cleveland. Plenty of small town, year round activities in the area & a short drive to Lake Michigan. Definitely not for the city slicker!! Sleepy suburb surrounded by farming.[read more...] |
