Theater, Music, Art, and Orchards - 11/28/2009
Some of the good things about La Porte. It has the La Porte County Symphony for music lovers, La Porte Little Theater for those who like plays, an art gallery with rotating exhibits, lots of local restaurants (though for the most part they seem to specialize in quicker meals and cater to a lunch crowd), and for those of us who love fresh fruits and vegetables there are many local farms such as Garwood's and Pavolka that are great. The La Porte County Museum is worth visiting. Also in the area is the Hesston Steam Museum that's fun for all of us who like trains.[read more...] |

Can Crime really slow down? - 12/23/2008
Laporte is a very low opportunity town. I think if we tried to create more jobs and make it more like a city, people would have more money, and possibly slow down on robbing homes and transportation. We have to try and get into the minds of the criminal.[read more...] |
