Taxes and weather - 2/25/2008
We are thinking of relocating from Florida. We are looking for a great place to raise our family. We also have lived here our entire 30years and would like not to have 85 degree Christmas Days. I would like to know about property and any other significant taxes and driving in the winter. I know the driving will be an adjustment.

Pleasantville - 5/12/2006
Nice to the extreme. clean, safe, family oriented with fairly progressive local mucipal gov't. quite a bedroom community to University of Iowa and much of the renting is due to med students, and visiting facultiy/researchers. suprisingly diverse, its not what you'd expect from Iowa, at leaast not what I was expecting. As a whole it keeps the smallish town feel without rampent narrowmindedness (though it does exist), thanks mostly to proximity to the college. they sure love the hawkeyes here.[read more...] |
