I just read that the city if Kiowa pays $6,900 (Est)per year per student, and the average cost in the US is $6,000. There are approximately 155 students in the elementary school. I would like to know what they (Kiowa) are spending this money on? Certainly not on maintenance of a building that provides brown water in the bathrooms to wash their hands with, and certainly not on field trips. My child had NO FIELD TRIPS during the entire school year. Also, it certainly could not be on the school lunch program that tries to feed my kids nothing but processed foods and high fat breakfasts and lunches. Thankfully, my child will no longer be a part of their school, district next year. On a positive note, the teachers are for the most part loving and care about the students.[read more...]
