I was raised in Kansas. I don't know what the heck you're talking about, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts; fishing, hunting, "HIKING"???????!!!!!!!!I lived in Fort Riley where my father was stationed, then J.C when he retired, then Ogden. Ahh, Kansas - 4/30/2006
Sometimes beautiful with expansive views of the prairie, great people, and charming old-tyme history. Sometimes colder than heck with a wind that never stops. Living in Kansas has given us the chance to experience all kinds of living across the spectrum. Small town feel in Ogden, J.C. and Fort Riley; college town in Manhattan; and the big city in K.C. Lots of things to do...if you're willing to drive...forever. Terrific opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts; fishing. hunting, hiking. Great micro-brew community from Manhattan-Topeka-Lawrence-KC.
