Wichita bed room comunity. - 4/16/2007
We have lived in Valley Center for a couple of years. It was a relatively quiet and friendly town. While it still is, traffic is increasing as more people discover what a gem it is. The school system is first rate. The municipal services are still developing but are headed in the right direction. There are not many businesses yet, but we have rapid access to most things. All in all, it is a terrific place to raise a family. However, as of this writing, there is talk of building a casino within two or three miles of town. I consider that a negative. But there are quite a few churches in town. All in all, we really like it here.[read more...] |

A wonderful little town! - 8/15/2006
Valley Center is a wonderful place to raise a family! Its your basic traditional small town with a friendly atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone and you will always walk or drive down the street and get a friendly wave! The town loves its sports, mostly football though. Theres a wonderful Fall Festival in September.
