Great Town - 4/9/2019
Lived on the west side of town not far from the 68 bypass for about four years. Excellent neighborhood with great neighbors. Really, they were the best neighbors we have had. They took pride in their houses too. Only things you will see on heat crime map are noise complaints or routine traffic stops.
The northeast section of town is what one would call a "transition" neighborhood, but the problems more or less stayed confined to that area.
I own guns, but I never felt the need to even keep one by my bedside.
Downtown seemed like it was starting to experience a little bit of a revitalization. New brewery, restaurants, art studios, book store, coffee shop, etc. Owners all seemed to know the history of their buildings, which was cool. Fun to listen to coffee shop owner talk about how her building used to be a brothel.
MB Roland distillery had Pickin' On the Porch and Casey Jones would have entertainment as well.

The town is trying to expend with steadily growing Industrial area that keeps over half of this small town employed. Every year there are a few town events that we as a community gather to celebrate showing neighborly fellowship. Late summer of 2017 we sent out a world invitation to invite people to watch the total eclipse with our small town. For all the things you can't get here you can always cross the state line to Clarksville, TN. which is nothing but a hop Read More
