Beautiful views but weather not the greatest - 5/21/2009
Rockland is a great town from July through mid October. Lots to see and do, culturally and environmentally but "cooler along the coast" is so true. Naturally air-conditioned. A seabreeze kicks in most afternoons with many evenings requiring a sweater. June can be beautiful or just fogged in most of the month. Things in the transportation department are improving, but still not there yet as of Fall 2006.[read more...] |

A little on the expensive side... - 9/27/2006
...in Rockland. Gas prices here were about 20 cents higher than my ex was reporting in Florida. Food seems more pricey here than in Massachusetts. I think it's because the trucks have to come so far -- Maine being way off in the upper right corner of the US and all.[read more...] |

If you like the cold... - 9/27/2006
...then Rockland may be the place for you! It is freezing and snowy in the winter time. VERY nice in summer and fall, but the summer season lasts only about two and a half months![read more...] |
