Overall an nice place to live if you don't mind bad traffic. Though Chevy Chase is a close-in suburb, traffic can make traveling short distances by car very taxing. Lots of local cultural events, it is a very international area.[read more...] |

City life with trees - 6/1/2008
Chevy Chase is great because it offers neighborhoods and parks and is only about 5 miles from the center of DC. While it looks like a quiet place, the pace of life is all city. Everyone is working too hard to maximize potential experiences of their children or have the most toys / status symbols. No simple pleasures here. We like the people - lots of talented and interesting people raising families but no one has any time to just stop and smell the roses.[read more...] |

CC MD -- great schools, neighborhoods, highly community active -- the state and county does a great job on services. But the identity is to Wash, DC. This is a place where you meet the smartest and the brightest, and you realize that one person can make a difference.
