SperlingViews - Bernardston, Massachusetts

I have lived in Bernardston MA most of my life. It is an extremely nice community to raise a family and settle in for the adult portion of your life. But as a young adult it leaves a little to be desired. The level of opportunity for careers and the immersion of culture is slim to none. Western Massachusetts in general is some what limited in its economic health. Bernardston seems to suffer from the lower wages of the western part of the state combined with the higher cost of living produced by the eastern part of Massachusetts. In short north western Massachusetts in general is great if you are set in a career path and are ready to start a family, but young in life it is hardly a staging ground for success.[read more...]
