A Nice Place To Live - 1/22/2010

This is a great little town. It is a suburb of Boston, however, Hopkinton is a more rural version of the traditional suburb. What does that mean? Well, there aren't car dealerships lining Main St. or fast food dives taking up space. Its largely residential with small businesses and a small-town feeling (with a green center common with beautiful new gazebo). The town has excellent access to major highways 90 (mass pike), 495, 135, 85, 9, etc. You can get into Boston via a number of routes. The people are nice and care very much about their kids and success! The schools are rated in the top 300 in the country.[read more...]

Still, it's a lovely place to live with lots of open space and three lakes available for fishing, boating and swimming.[read more...]

Many would say it is justified, what with new schools, new public buildings and growth in general. It may have some justification, however, the money for taxes means some other personal need of the citizenry must be sacrificed. Nice town, but tough to justify the cost of living here now.[read more...]
