Housing is too expensive - 7/12/2006
Marblehead is a charming seacoast New England town. Not terribly diverse .. not... but lots of "small town" things to do ... local theatre, arts, charities, town politics, ocean/beach, etc. Boston is only 17 miles and Salem is next door. Nice local restaurants, all the service....but, it's way too expensive and getting more so. Property taxes are going up every year. Everything around Boston is very expensive, insurance, health care, etc. No single family homes here under $500 for about 2000 sq.ft needing major work. It takes the fun out of living here.[read more...] |
