Life on Moody Street - 2/4/2010
My husband and I moved from west of Worcester to Waltham a few months ago and are really enjoying life here. We're situated in an apartment close to Moody Street and are thrilled that everything is at our fingertips. No need to get in the car to buy groceries, go to the cleaners, or eat out. And the commuter rail is only two blocks away. I typically use my car only one day a week, for heavy-dury grocery shopping. The rest of the time, if I need lettuce, milk, or eggs, there are several small markets just down the street. I can buy chorizo and tortillas at a nearby Latino market or basmati rice and mangos at the Indian market across the street. I can buy cannoli and imported cheese at an Italian market four blocks away. Indian, Thai, Japanese, Spanish, Mexican, Italian restaurants are all within walking distance. We can also go out for burgers, pizza, BBQ, and more standard American fare. Best of all, we have a six-screen movie theater a block away. I'm seriously considering Read More
