Extremely safe, very serene. Excellent schools (Top Ten District in Michigan).
Great fishing, boating, golfing.
It's like a vacation at home.

BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN MICHIGAN - 5/22/2006
GROSSE ILE - IS SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS "FANTASY ISLAND" - BY NON RESIDENTS - BUT THOSE OF US THAT LIVE THERE - JUST CALL IT A WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL AND SWEET HOME.
FRIENDLY - PEACEFUL - QUIET - TRANQUIL - COUNTRY LIKE SETTING - SURROUNDED BY BEAUTIFUL TREES AND WATER - BOATING IS AT OUR DOORSTEP - AND A MORE KINDLY FOLK ARE RARELY FOUND SO CLOSE TO A MAJOR CITY (15 miles from Detroit). VIRTUALLY - ZERO CRIME - SPEED LIMIT IS A HIGH OF 35 MPH - BUT MOSTLY 25.
WE LOVE IT HERE - AND SO WILL YOU . . .
