Going down hill - 1/25/2006
We lived in Oak Park for 6 years. In that time it went from an up-and-coming neighborhood like Ferndale or Royal Oak to a pit. This place has gone so down hill in the last few years that we just had to get out. We were thankful to get some kind of return on our house. If we had waited any longer I think we would have lost money. I agree with the other person - don't move here.[read more...] |

boring city that has absolutely pathetic job growth, very few residents actually work in Oak Park because it is a small city that most businesses see as an unattractive area, in fact you are more likely to see buildings being razed. This is a dying city unlike the suburbs north of interstate 696 that seem to suffer from overdevelopment.[read more...] |
