I like Mn... - 10/5/2010
Being ex military, I have traveled to a lot of States. If I had my way, Id live in San Diego, but I can't afford it. My second choice would be Mn. There are lots of things to do both in the winter and summer. Yes, its slow compared to NY, but I like it that way. The cost of living can be costly but there are a lot of fortune 500 companies that pays well. There are lots of colleges, theaters and lakes. Some of the people are friendly but of course you have a_ _ holes, no matter where you go. The place is clean, the schools are awesome. One gentlemen from LA told me that our ghetto looks more like one of their suburbs :) [read more...] |

Apple Valley is a somewhat boring place to live. Most of the houses look the same. They are painted the same to conform to rules. Mostly chain stores but I prefer going into Rosemount which has an old-fashioned appearing downtown area that is much closer to me.[read more...] |

Excellent health care; schools WINTERS ARE BRUTAL, - 9/10/2006

Nice if you can stand the long winters and short s - 8/14/2006
Apple Valley is a nice place if you have kids but be prepared for very long cold winters, damp rainy springs and a much to short summer. The schools are very good and you are close to Minneapolis and St. Paul. I have lived here for 18 years but the winters have become to much for me and I intend to move to a more mild climate.[read more...] |
