Land of Summer and Winter Recreation! Rich in Ojib - 8/21/2006
Our Northern Minnesota communities are a wonderful place to rediscover the kid in each of us! Here you can go swimming in just about any lake around, you can boat, fish and explore in so many areas that you will never have a dull day! Northern Minnesota has an abundant wildlife population. We have moose, deer, bears, wolves, coyotes, lynx, rabbits and even cougar have been seen in the area! We also have grouse and partridge. We have areas that are fabulous for bird watching like the Zim bogs, but you can easly see owls, blue herons, geese, eagles, and many types of other birds! Our northern forests are wonderful and getting around on snowmobiles is so much fun! But if you are a cross country skier you will love this area as well!
