We moved to Hernando, MS a year ago as a result of a job transfer. We no longer have children in school, so the quality of education isn't an issue. Our daughter teaches in the Desota County school district and it is above average for southern districts. Hernando is a bedroom community located 16 miles south of Memphis. It enjoys a high quality of life and I would recommend it to anyone moving to this area. Housing costs are much lower than the Pittsburgh area. I looked in the Southaven, Horm Lake, and Olive Branch MS area for over 9 months for housing and am confident that Hernando was the best choice.[read more...]
