Okay Area to live - 10/5/2011

Overall it's a good area to live in. We live on a mostly quiet street, it's a cul de sac. We've had our lawnmower stolen out our backyard, that's about all. Our subdivision is within St. Louis, which was ranked # 1 in crime/most dangerous cities. So, we're thinking about moving.[read more...]

Florissant the beautiful city - 5/7/2006

Its not filled with Mullets and trans ams as the person above indicates. But yes it is blue collar, not low income, but blue collar hard working middle class. If you are a hard working and family oriented you'll fit right in. It is one of the safest cities in America for its size. One of the oldest cities in Missouri, and boasts a lovely Old Town district. Since 2001 the city has seen a boom in developement that has not been experieced since the 1960's or earlier. The city is growing and thriving. Come check it out.[read more...]

Atmosphere - 11/8/2005

Florissant is a lovely town with a definate old-feel. However, it may not be ideal for a family or a professional. It is extremely blue-collar, low-income. The school district is poor, and the expectations of people are low. Lots of mullets and Trans-Ams.[read more...]
