Not a great place to live or visit! - 4/25/2007
I grew up here. I've been living here for the past 27 years. Over the past I'd guess 10 years the spanish population has taken over the city. There aren't much opportunities here as far as employment goes unless you're okay with making a little over minimum wage! There are alot of restaurant, retail, packing house and telemarketing jobs in the area. For the most part though SSC is a pretty safe place to live. The schools are okay. There again, alot of spanish students. So I guess if you are hispanic than this is the ideal place. One good thing about the area though is that it's an hour from 2 major cities. One being Omaha, NE and the other being Sioux Falls, SD. So if you get bored around here it's only an hour trip either way. I'm definately looking for a new home far far away from here![read more...] |
