The housing in Edgewater has become pricey and beautiful in a great area right next to New York City. It has gotten crowed over the last 5 years. It is a great place for newlyweds, a couple starting a family and retirees.[read more...] |

Perfection - 6/26/2008
I'm a big fan, although a a matter of principle I don't believe in boosterism. There are hundreds of wonderful places to live. Edgewater, thankfully, happens to be one of them. Proximity to NYC is key, of course, but you get NY and NJ in Edgewater and that's fun. I like the short drive to the Bronx which is surprisingly nice. I love Arthur Ave. This is a heavily Asian community, lots of Japanese and Koreans. Low or No crime, great views, ethnic culture all around, esp. old Italian community here and there in the area. The weather is great. We get 4 seasons, unlike LA where we came from but no harsh winters and the summers are less insufferable than the south. This is a nearly perfect place to live, although the cost of living is high.[read more...] |
