Getting to crowded and expensive - 5/13/2006
Port Monmouth is a very nice area. Lots to do. However, the taxes are sky high all over Monmouth County, as they are all over NJ. And the utilities have also skyrocketed.
Now that we're getting older and the kids are off to college, we dream of a quaint little town. We love nature, and there's not alot of that around here anymore. We'd love to live in an old style home, or even a log cabin home. Maybe by a lake, in the mountains. We're crime is low and taxes are low. Where people are friendly and all help each other and say "HI". Nature and land!! We unfortunately might have to stay in NJ for our search because we are both licensed realtors and at our age do not want to take the course and test all over again elsewhere.
