A lot of fighting in the lower grades - 5/30/2009
Wow when I moved here I thought what a beautiful place to live, until I heard the second and third graders swearing at each other at the bus stop and broke up three fistfights in one month. Do you like teacher's wearing flip flops at school - 5/30/2009
Well Raton does. The teacher's do not have a dress code. Yet the students are not allowed to wear headband's in the middle school or hoodies. I guess some students were wearing gang colored headband's and instead of the school district saying "no gang paraphanelia" they thought it was a better idea to not allow headband's.

Very high electric rates - 5/30/2009
My family just moved to Raton from Michigan in November '09 and the electric rates are outrageous. I can not get our monthly electricity bill below $125 and in Michigan I could average about $60 a month in the summer.[read more...] |
