We moved to Dover Plains, NY from Queens, NY in 2001. Homes are still affordable, but prices are increasing rapidly. Relatively speaking, the property taxes are not as bad as those from neighboring towns and NYC, but have been definitely going up. A whole new town center is being built near the Harlem Valley Wingdale train station. This should be good for the town.[read more...]
