Difficult for someone from a sunshine state - 12/26/2009
I have lived here for approximately 3 1/2 years and am originally from California (I have lived in Colorado Springs CO and Columbus GA as well). The number of days of sunshine here is limited and colder than I would like...however schools, crime rate and the people make up for it.[read more...] |

Grand Place to Live - 9/17/2009
Grand Island lies in the Niagara River between New York and Canada. It's easy to get to Niagara Falls, Toronto(Canada), Buffalo. There is a beach and two boat docking facilities. We have good schools and low crime. We really enjoy living here and would probably stay for retirement except our taxes in New York State are too high and our state government is extremely dysfunctional.
