Nice Four-Season Climate - 10/24/2007
The Long Island climate is maritime, with four distinct, but not harsh, seasons. Each season here is beautiful in its own way, but Spring really "pops". (I grew up in Upstate New York, and couldn't believe the difference when I moved here 35 years ago.) It can get hot or cold here, but never too extreme or for very long. Likewise with humidity and with snow. Most days are sunny or otherwise pleasant, but rainfall is plentifiul year-round, and droughts are uncommon and seldom more than moderate.
