Super place but beware of the tax man - 4/18/2007
Pittsford is a very nice safe community, great schools, facilities and an under utilized canal. Weather has it's pro's and cons. Summer and fall being my favorite. December-March offers little sun and about 100 inches of snow! Regretably as is with all of NY state, it is all about the taxes. Taxes run approximately 3.2%+ on propertys full assesed value, a number unheard of in most other states. The state government "does not get it" they continue to force people out of the state with its heavy handed business fees, controls and taxes.[read more...] |
