Weather - 5/7/2009
Even though we have four seasons, there are only a handful of days in each season that the weather is enjoyable. We constantly have rainy, overcast days throughout the year. When we finally get some warm weather in the Spring we have to put up with all types of annoying insects. Finally, Summer arrives and with it comes hazy, humid days and sticky nights. Fall is beautiful, but does not last long enough. Winter would be worthwhile if there was more snow. Instead, we have five months or so of dreary, cold weather.[read more...] |

Washingtonville is a quiet, bedroom town that is beautiful located in Hudson Valley. The Quality of Life in Washingtonville is good however the cost of living is high for those not making the towns median salary. Homes sales for the "average" house sell for anything over $350K but it's the taxes that make the cost of living so out-of-reach for some. All in all, it's a beautiful small town w/some school budget issues and a higher tax rate.[read more...] |
