North Carolina - 10/26/2009
Hope Mills, NC is more of a small town feel, with everything in a short driving distance. It is close to the Fayetteville area (military town). The people are more to themselves, not all so friendly all the time. One day the neighbors will speak and the next day they act as if you're a complete stranger. It has a mixture of the eastern atmosphere. Job growth not all so great and you would need reliable transportation to get around, and the drivers are rude and mean. I Look forward to moving soon and finding a more family friendly environment with better schools and educated peers.[read more...] |

Hope Mills NC - 9/13/2008
I love the little town of Hope Mills NC. It is basically a suburb of Fayetteville. Hope Mills is a small neighborly community. A lot of people live the "country" life style. There are a lot of farming, and equine activities in this area. Churches galore, in the area I live the churches, of many dominations take on projects and work together to help others. It is a slower easier paced life style than in a big city. People look you in the eye and smile.[read more...] |

Nice Town - 10/12/2007
Hope Mills is a nice town--growing very rapidly, but so far still has somewhat of a small town atmosphere. It is a suburb of Fayetteville so major shopping is less than 15-20 minutes away, depending on what part of town you live in (although Hope Mills does have their own Wal Mart Supercenter). Probably one of the best things about the area is the weather. There is a definite change of seasons, although it is sometimes sporadic and fluctuating. Nevertheless, we have lived in places that are a LOT hotter and more humid than here. Housing is reasonable and there's plenty of golfing if that's what you like. High School football is big here. One big thing about North Carolina, though, is the taxes! It's ridiculous![read more...] |
