In Jamestown proper, there is City Lake Park. During the summer, there is a pool and waterslide, along with rides (like a miniature train) for the kids. Year round they have the park and shelters for get-togethers. The lake offers boating and fishing and paddle-boats. The community college is in the heart of Jamestown and on campus there are various events including theatre, culinary and sports. Jamestown is centrally located to High Point and Greensboro and not far from Winston-Salem, so it is easy to get to any of those places to enjoy their entertainment offerings as well.[read more...]
