Mint Hill - 2/28/2008

Mint Hill is going to be the next Weddington, NC with the advantage of a quick commute to downtown Charlotte. The new housing developments are mostly in the 500,000 range on estate sized lots, there is a luxury mall going in off of Lawyers Road and thanks to I-485 you're only 15 minutes from Matthews, Concord Mills and the University Area. Quick access to I-77 & I-85 is another plus. Land prices are still relatively cheap just like they were in Weddington 15 years ago - you can have a gigantic house on a huge lot without the million dollar price tag. Most importantly, Mint Hill is ridiculously safe and has one of the best public elementary schools in the region.[read more...]

Great Place to live - 3/25/2007

Mint Hill, NC is a great place to live. With the completion of the outer loop (I-485) past Mint Hill, it has started to really boom. It will quickly change from the sleepy rural suburb of Charlotte to a high end desireable part of town. With some of the last rural area left in Mecklenburg county, half million dollar homes are quickly popping up. Also, a new upscale outdoors shopping center right off I-485 has been approved and will bring even more growth on the high end. Mint Hill has always been a great place to live.
