The city of Ashtabula has the feel of a once-busy and charming railroad town. It seems it was once a "great place to live." However when one walks or drives through the city, it seems as though the inhabitants have become less than mediocre in their keeping up with the rest of the country. This shows in the care taken of the roads, buildings, and the general attitude of the city dwellers.

This is a nowhere town. No businesses can make it here - everything is closed up. The job situation is terrible. The schools are worse. I can't wait to get out. Needs some good government - someone who knows what they're doing. The houses are mostly crap in town, falling apart, boarded up... The neighborhoods are scary!!
