Great Place to Live - 3/9/2008
Here's the deal. You live, at the most, a mile or two from Lake Erie's shores, 10 minutes from the major metropolitan area of Cleveland with great shopping, cultural centers, sports, and typical metropolitan activities, and . . .10 minutes from an international airport where Continental Airlines has non-stop flights all over the country. Great schools, a tight knit community, and a relatively low cost of living makes this city an ideal spot to raise a family. The cons? Weather can be listed as one. . .but only during the winter season. Summer and fall are great times of the year. Winter and spring tend to be on the gloomy side- overcast, grey, skies can dominate the region for months due to the lake's effect on the local weather. The west side of Cleveland holds a little secret- the closer to the lake you get the less snow you get due to how lake effect snow is created. Summer months are relatively cool, fall is cool and dry. If you can get over the "mistake by the lake"
