hi. i live in Ephrata, Pa. Looking forward to learning where some of the best places are to live with year round temps above 50. i love the beach, pools, bicycling, etc. we live in a great community but hate the winters. we live near amish country. we get to see horse and buggies on the roads. lots of farm land although a lot of it keeps on being sold for housing developments.

Just heard the other day that there are basically two kinds of homes being built in this area. The first kind is like the home we own (duplex in a developement) and extremely large homes for those who commute to the large surrounding cities.[read more...] |

We just heard from good friend last week that this area is really growing. The housing developements and the homes being built are catering to two categories: new duplex housing communities (like the home we own, bought it January 2005 for 162,000) for middle income families. The other category is made up of extremely large homes for those commuting from the large cities 1-2 hours away.[read more...] |
