I wouldn't want to live anywhere else ! - 11/2/2009

Mayberry Township offers a welcome retreat from the "rat race" of city life and all of its problems. Very rural, friendly people and the homes aren't on top of one another( I can't see my neighbors home from my own home). Though at first glance Mayberry seems isolated from the world the fact is that it isn't. 3 miles from Elysburg which has grocery stores, dining and Knoebels Amusement Park( voted one of the nicest amusement parks in the U.S.). The county seat, Danville, is all of 4.5 miles away and also offers shopping, dining and Geisinger Medical Center( a state-of-the-art medical facility). Not far from major cities Mayberry is a 2.5 hour drive to NYC, 2.5 hours to Philadelphia. 5 hours to D.C.. Its true a person may not find everything they want in Mayberry, as far as consumer goods go, but Mayberry has good schools, an almost non-existant crime rate and its nice and quiet.[read more...]
