Wexford is a suburban area in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. Wexford consists of Franklin Park Borough, Marshall and Pine Townships, and the Town of McCandless.
It is a safe, upscale area with no real crime to speak of. The area consists mostly of seniors, yuppies, and upper middle class people.
Parts of the area (particularly Pine Twp.) has some estate type properties with large acreage. There are lots of high end housing plans loaded with McMansions in Wexford and in nearby Gibsonia (Pine Twp). A lot of the older housing is affordable mid century modern ranch homes. Taxes are high in the Wexford area, especially if you own a newer or high-end home. Wexford is a great place to live if you can afford it.[read more...] |

Wexford is a great place to live. It is an upscale community in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh with easy access to shopping, dining, medical care, and major highways. 3000 acre North Park is close by, as are several smaller parks in Pine Twp.
Wexford has two highly rated school districts, Pine-Richland and North Allegheny. Wexford (especially Pine Township) is one of the best suburban areas in western Pennsylvania in which to live.[read more...] |
