Linden, PA... (lycoming County, 17744) A nice plac - 7/8/2007
Howdy, Y'all. Linden PA is a small town located in Lycoming County, PA. I recently moved here from Delaware County to escape the traffic, noise, nasty people, crime, taxes, high cost of insurance, etc... It is a rural community just south of Williamsport on US Route 220. There are about 2500 people here. The mood is very conservative. QUIET! It is so nice to go to sleep at night without the noise of some idiot(s) blasting their ghettomobile's car audio all night. The only time you hear gunshots is during hunting season. My car isnurance is down to less than half with increased coverage. My homeowners insurance is far less than half as are my property taxes. There are drawbacks: I cannot get a decent cheesesteak if my life dependrd on it. Also, don't get hungry at 3:00 AM and think you are going to get some grub anywhere but the local cornfield. The well water is pretty nasty. It smells like rotten eggs. Other than that, it is a great place to be. I hope to spend the rest of my life here.[read more...] |
