SperlingViews - North_Kingstown, Rhode_island

I just moved to North Kingstown four months ago. I just called the town hall to ask the tax assessor a question and wow - what a very rude woman. From the moment she answered the phone she was incredibly nasty. She asked what property I was calling on and I gave her the address. I then quickly tried to offer an account number and she interrupted me saying "Stop Right Now - I'm looking up the address". She told me that she couldn't answer my question so I said, okay will you call me when you have an answer then and she said "I doubt it". Truly - that's what she said. Wow. I kept pressing and she finally said "you'll get something in the mail". Hopefully this person is not indicative of the quality of town employees in North Kingstown or I don't think I'll like living here very much. The town seems pretty though.[read more...]

There can be alot said about RI but what you will find here is a true New England town-yes, it's reserved but warm. People help one another out here and good neighbors are not hard to find. You have excellent schools for kids to learn, wonderful historic Wickford Village to enjoy within North Kingstown- a must see, waterfront coast with marinas and beaches right on our clear and true blue Narragansett Bay. Neighborhoods abound from high end to very affordable housing. And you are really in the middle of the state when you need to drive north,south , east & west- so consider it's great geographic location here too. [read more...]
