SperlingViews - Aberdeen, South_dakota

I moved to this town about two years ago. I could say a lot about the ups and downs of Aberdeen. Of the Good, its a very safe laid back community, almost too laid back. It's a very self reliant city, Everything you need is within 4 mi. No need to travel outside of the city so easy on the gas tank. Cost of living is amazingly low and the job market is quite good. 2 colleges here, NSU is university college with community college tuition. One of the best places for hunters. On the down side, it's very cold in the winter, windy and there are no hills or exciting terrain. Its on the North East side of Aberdeen so all the caves, hills, forests about hours away. I'm here to get a degree and live easy for a while. Population is often depleting because its more a place to go to get on your feet again. [read more...]
