 Great Place to Live and Raise a Family - 12/13/2007

Jourdanton is a great small town on the grow. The quality of life is excellent in Jourdanton. Our community has a great spirit and are well know for coming together to accomplish goals. In 2001 we opened a new library and community center that was completely paid for by grants and fundraisers in our community. In 2005 we dedicated a new EMS Facility with 2 ambulance bays, sleeping quarters, storage and office space for the county EMS director. Once again this was all paid for by fund raising in our community. We have a great hospital with excellent medical care and all the specialist that you need. Our school system is very good. We are only about 30 minutes away from San Antonio and an hour and half to Corpus Christi. There are many many wonderful things in our community. Our people are what makes our community special.
