the people/churches - 11/1/2010
I moved to Van Alstyne to retire and because of the churches. I went to service to a church that was of my beleifs and the people were standoffish and cold, I tried all 18 other churches in the area and it was the same thing. Van Alstyne's people are a closed community and if you are not from around there you are shunned. I bought and paid for my house and cannot now get what I paid, so I am stuck in this pergatory. We have been in Van Alstyne for just about a year now,we actually moved here for the schools and also for the small community.My 2 boys have never done better then here in van alstyne.They are A B, they actually love school.We have 1 in H.S and 1 in middle school,i am so happy with the school system here.[read more...] |
