Orting Valley Traffic - 10/1/2007
Traffic on Hwy 161 is horrendous! As far as I can tell, there are no plans by Pierce County to widen the highway or otherwise improve this gridlock. Other than the traffic, we love it here! The schools/neighborhoods are great and it's so peaceful once we get home.[read more...] |

Climate & Livability - 8/7/2007
Orting is a small town near the base of Mt. Rainier. The weather is pretty nice during the summer and fall. Do have many days during the winter that can be overcast all day. We don't have severe winters and snow is really not an issue. It comes and then goes. It can cause driving issues for the near term until it melts. But we have had winters with no snow at all. Home developments have caused problems with traffic congestion. It's beautiful country and there are plenty of things to see and do.[read more...] |
