Leaving as soon as I can - 9/26/2006
I have lived in Chippewa Falls all my life- almost 26 years. At first glance, a visitor would think that it is a quiet quaint town. However, the novelty wears off quickly if you stay for more than a day. There is very little to do around town and if you want to go shopping you are limited to Kmart or Wal-Mart, unless you feel like driving to the mall in Eau Claire- about 20 minutes or so away. I would say that the nightlife in Chippewa mainly consists of drunken hicks. Alcoholism is an epidemic here. Seriously, my friends and I avoid driving after 2am because of bar close. The jobs here are non-existent and you pretty much must work in Eau Claire. Most of the jobs pay horribly even if you are educated. I have a B.S. in biology and I make $12/hr! Visit if you dare, but don't ever move here!!!![read more...] |
