Great community but the taxes are too high - 9/19/2008
Waupaca is a lovely town. The people are friendly and caring. The scenery is gorgeous with many lakes and rivers to explore. The down side is the property taxes are high. But the school system is excellent and our roads are well maintained. So you do get a good bang for your buck in that respect. Cost of living is lower than many places. If you don't mind the cold winters and lots of snow, it is a nice place to raise a family. People have their hearts in the right place here.[read more...] |
