I live in Rialto, about 1 hour outside of Los Angeles, and even though it is cheaper than Los Angeles, the average college graduate cannot afford to stay here. First, there are no nice apartment complexes to live in in Rialto. Most people want to live in Rancho Cucamonga, 10 minutes away. Unfortunately the average one bedroom starts at $1050.00 and goes up from there. When you are getting out of college and barely making $28,000.00 a year, with student loans to pay back, the going rent is unbearable. If you don't already live here, don't come here.
