Review of Omaha, Nebraska

A great city of possibilities and growth
Star Rating - 4/2/2017
Omaha is a great place to live for those who have no need for image to sustain their sense of self that is provided by eastern and western larger city identities and cultures. Here you'll find the opportunity to be a part of the redevelopment of the central city that is well underway in turning away from the suburban sprawl. You'll find that you can enjoy a lower cost-of-living while exploring your talents as you've always wanted to explore Them. . Omaha has made the cut of smaller cities that survived the recession and have built on a solid base that was retained economically throughout the recession. ( where other cities lost lots of ground because of over involvement in a false economic prosperity ) this speaks to the conservative nature of Omaha in the best sense of the word. but it is not a red city.
by the same token you're not going to find automatically a presumption of blue-Ness on every corner.it's a great place for real estate investment and holding investment in owner occupied properties.here you will get a an immediate return on rental investment but at the same time notice a solid stable gentle growth in appreciation. Revitalizations of older business districts in the central part of the city (before suburban sprawl) is popping up and at least five different areas not including downtown. Omaha was awarded a coveted grant to develop a bus ramp at transit system that will open in the fall of 2018. Concurrently plans are underway and money to back it up for a light rail system that will connect to downtown to the central part of the city. The traditional corporate largess and wealthy society that came from the corporate world does exist but is slowly being transformed and shared with a group of people who through their own efforts and interest are preserving older buildings that often times corporations had no use for and developing things in a more organic fashion with the participation of a growing class of millennial's and professionals who've returned to Omaha like myself to make a difference. The corporate-political-society complex that has been relied upon traditionally in Omaha and since it's pounding, now is making way for a group of philanthropist that are working more organically with this group of younger professionals millennials to re-create the central part of the city saving architectural Lee important buildings and repurpose sing them for independent film for urban art and walkable living The low cost of living,p and the easy connection to the rest of the country through a well-developed and easy to use airport ( approaching 4 million passengers per year and direct flights to most major cities ) make this a wonderful place to live. Another indicator of potential that the city does enjoy for growth and development as we we define what the city is for the next generation is the fact that omaha enjoys a 30% of the population having a college degree. This is a percentage higher than its peers across the country. I hope you find this review helpful and to please forgive me for my syntax punctuation and refinement in my writing. I needed to get this in here and get the word out for people in between things.
