Almost forgot. Tucson is rated in social research as being in the bottom of cities nationwide for social disharmony as measured by per capital rates of suicide, alcoholism, divorce and crime. The people there are lost. Little or no sense of community, its a migratory/vacation City. If you speak to a stranger on the street they often give you the look like: what are you going to do to me, or what are you going to impose on me? They are fearful and closed off to new encounters frequently. Not always but often. Tucson does have a fairly decent bus system relatively speaking and considering that most cities are lacking in this area. Nothing compared to San Francisco, or any major city like Chicago, New York, etc., but not that bad. Buses frequently break down though and you have to wait for another bus and transfer. Lots of bad drivers, will drive you up the wall, they are so bad. Little or no traffic enforcement. People cutting you off, going through red lights, speeding.
