We moved to Grangeville in 1978 from San Diego, believe it or not, and we throughly enjoyed this small town and all the recreational activities (hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, skiiing, rafting, etc). However, you need to be prepare for basically 5 months of winter, although the temperatures are generally in the 30s. Also, for better selection for shopping, you'll need to travel 70 miles to Lewiston.
