The frederick county Sheriff is AWFUL. No major crimes seem to be solved. The deputies seem to be occupied harassing law abiding citizens, especially minorities. I don’t blame the deputies, as the tactics and procedures promoted are from the top down. 20 years in Frederick regularly commuting and spending time in other local municipalities - specifically Montgomery Co. and DC, and not once had issue with law enforcement anywhere EXCEPT for Frederick Co Sheriff deputies. Profiling is not only accepted but promoted and is one of many problems of the department.
